Capital Beer & Wine is a boutique wine and beer store in downtown Bethesda, Maryland.  We specialize in introducing our customers to craft made beers and wines from all over the world. Many of our products come from small, family owned and operated vineyards and breweries. This means that we are the guardians of family legacies from  Patagonia to Australia to France to Virginia and countless places in between. We have an obligation to those families to properly represent their legacies.  Each product in Capital Beer & Wine’s inventory is carefully hand selected by our buyer/manager, who has strong relationships with the area’s finest beer and wine importers and distributors. We take pride in the knowledge that many of our beers and wines are hand made food products of great beauty. Our inventory of about 400 different wines and about 140 different beers regularly changes by the season, product availability and our customers’ requests. We host weekly wine and/or beer tastings. Webpages are a little bit tricky for small businesses (this is a round about way of saying web pages are time consuming, especially if you aren’t too good at working with computer code). Anyway, we are computer savvy enough to work on the web page ourselves but it can be challenging to keep our internets up to the minute, so it helps if you look at our Twitter posts, subscribe to the newsletter and stop by the store from time to time. You don’t have to buy anything, we just like to have a chat. Also please bring your dog by to bark “hello” and get a treat.
