Wine maker Andrew Jones is a vine nursery employee who is sometimes given surplus, high quality wine grapes with which he produces this wine. So named because he does not have a winery as such, but he has access to terrific grapes. This red is a quirky “field blend" of grapes: 21% zinfandel, 15% Sangiovese, 13% Petite Sirah, 12% Syrah, 8% Alicante Bouschet, 7% Charbono, 7% Grenache, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Corvina. Great on its own or with hearty meals of chops, ribs, strip steak, pasta and pancetta or anything grilled.
